Notula Privacy Policy
Effective Date September 27, 2018

Notula (“We/Us/Our”) collects information from users of Our website and the Service (“You/Your”.) This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use information. By using the website and the Service, you are accepting the terms of this Notula Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. We will inform You of any changes by posting the revised Privacy Policy on Our website. The Effective Date of the Privacy Policy indicates the date of the latest revision. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in the Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall govern.

Personal Information

In order to use the Service You must create an account on Our website. When You create an account We will ask for personally identifiable information. This is information about You that can be used to contact or identify You (“Personal Information”). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, Your name, phone number, email address and home postal addresses. We use Personal Information to provide the Service, complete Your transactions, and respond to inquiries.

Sending Email to Your Connections

In order to invite others to meetings or to share meeting material or tasks through the Service, You must enter their email addresses. These email addresses will be stored in Your Notula address book, will be covered by the terms of this Privacy Policy, and will be used only for the purpose of sending Your meeting invitation as well as other documents and emails related to the meeting or task.

Any Email communication You send through the Service will list Your email address and name in the message and may also provide information, notes or documents related to Your meetings with the recipient. Information you enter in the Service about a certain meeting will be shared with attendees and invitees and any other parties who are entitled to the information related to that meeting and related meeting tasks.

The filenames You use in the Service are not treated as Personal Information; therefore We recommend that You do not include any personally identifiable information in Your filenames.

Access and Correct Your Personal Data

You can access your data at any time if you sign into your account. Please correct any personal data that are misspelt or out of date as soon as you can. You can ask us to delete your personal data and we will do so as soon as we can – unless for legal reasons we need to keep it for additional time.

You can also use your account settings to opt in or out of receiving certain communications from us, though that means you may not receive certain potentially useful information regarding the Service. Remember that you can’t refuse to receive communications within the app, such as advertising, except in accordance with certain conditions (e.g., where we offer an upgrade in order to eliminate advertisements).

As the profile page is so important, you need to ensure that your account details are kept secret so we can be as sure as we can be that only you can amend your personal data.

We Keep Your Personal Data Secure

Your personal data is password-protected in order to prevent anyone else using your account or changing your data. We use carefully chosen technical and physical security measures to protect personal data stored in our databases, and only give our staff access to it if and when this is necessary for them to do their job. Although we use our best efforts we can’t be responsible for any unauthorized access to or use of data, any hardware or software failure or any other factor that compromises the security of your data.
